Wearable Devices in Remote Cardiac Rehabilitation With and Without Weekly Online Coaching for Patients With Coronary Artery Disease: Randomized Controlled Trial

Wearable Devices in Remote Cardiac Rehabilitation With and Without Weekly Online Coaching for Patients With Coronary Artery Disease: Randomized Controlled Trial

This system combines real-time data collection on physical activity and biometric metrics with online coaching (OLC) to deliver personalized feedback and support to the users. The primary objectives of this pilot study were to evaluate the efficacy of this system in improving exercise capacity and adherence through continuous and interactive communication between health care providers and patients and to clarify the synergistic effects of OLC on the use of wearable devices.

Impact of Digital Engagement on Weight Loss Outcomes in Obesity Management Among Individuals Using GLP-1 and Dual GLP-1/GIP Receptor Agonist Therapy: Retrospective Cohort Service Evaluation Study

Impact of Digital Engagement on Weight Loss Outcomes in Obesity Management Among Individuals Using GLP-1 and Dual GLP-1/GIP Receptor Agonist Therapy: Retrospective Cohort Service Evaluation Study

Randomized controlled trials have examined e Health platforms with behavioral change coaching for weight loss [27]. However, existing literature is limited, as the integration of digital platforms with pharmacological therapy for weight loss has yet to be extensively researched due to its novelty [28-30].

Feedback From Dental Students Using Two Alternate Coaching Methods: Qualitative Focus Group Study

This study compared student responses without coaching, coaching using a feedback handout, or coaching using a feedback workshop before completing the surveys. Results demonstrate that handout coaching showed no significant difference compared with no coaching with respect to the number of neutral, positive, negative, or constructive ratings.

Feasibility of a Comprehensive eCoach to Support Patients Undergoing Colorectal Surgery: Longitudinal Observational Study

Feasibility of a Comprehensive eCoach to Support Patients Undergoing Colorectal Surgery: Longitudinal Observational Study

An e Coach for colorectal surgery was reported, but did not include prehabilitation, for which digital coaching can be particularly helpful [15]. Furthermore, clear reporting of feasibility for older surgical patients in real-life clinical practice is often missing [16,17]. A recent study described feasibility of an intervention that combined digital guidance with intensive one-on-one human health coaching, but this is a health professional labor-intensive protocol [18].

Improving Maternal Mental Health and Weight Control With a Mindfulness Blended Care Approach: Insights From a Randomized Controlled Trial

Improving Maternal Mental Health and Weight Control With a Mindfulness Blended Care Approach: Insights From a Randomized Controlled Trial

For this subanalysis, we compared participants who received more than one face-to-face coaching session during the study period (personal coaching group [PC group]), with participants who received only the first mandatory session (no personal coaching [NPC group]). The effect of PC on psychometric parameters was evaluated in the intervention groups (IG) and CGs. The clinical study phase was conducted over a 2-year period between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2020.

Prototype of an App Designed to Support Self-Management for Health Behaviors and Weight in Women Living With Breast Cancer: Qualitative User Experience Study

Prototype of an App Designed to Support Self-Management for Health Behaviors and Weight in Women Living With Breast Cancer: Qualitative User Experience Study

This could be a feature of the particular group that these participants were in, but it does highlight that apps that use a group coach could include coaching that encourages the sharing of setbacks. Some of the participants with localized disease were concerned about sharing their feelings with women with metastatic disease because they felt it might be insensitive, but the women with metastatic disease really valued being included and felt that this was important.

Web-Based Parent Training With Telephone Coaching Aimed at Treating Child Disruptive Behaviors in a Clinical Setting During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Single-Group Study With 2-Year Follow-Up

Web-Based Parent Training With Telephone Coaching Aimed at Treating Child Disruptive Behaviors in a Clinical Setting During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Single-Group Study With 2-Year Follow-Up

The Finnish Strongest Families Smart Website (SFSW) intervention is an 11-week program that includes parent training delivered through a digital platform and assisted by weekly telephone coaching. Previously, we conducted an RCT, screening families at regular health checkups for 4-year-old children. Children who had parent-reported high levels of disruptive behavior were screened for targeted SFSW intervention.

Essential Coaching for Every Mother Tanzania (ECEM-TZ): Protocol for a Type 1 Hybrid Effectiveness-Implementation Randomized Controlled Trial

Essential Coaching for Every Mother Tanzania (ECEM-TZ): Protocol for a Type 1 Hybrid Effectiveness-Implementation Randomized Controlled Trial

Due to the severe shortage of health care providers and the low rate of in-person postnatal contacts in Tanzania [12], Essential Coaching for Every Mother Tanzania (ECEM-TZ) is poised to bridge this gap without adding a significant burden to the health system. The goal of the ECEM-TZ intervention is to improve maternal access to knowledge during the immediate 6-week postnatal period, and to increase maternal self-efficacy and improve mental health outcomes.
