Investigating Protective and Risk Factors and Predictive Insights for Aboriginal Perinatal Mental Health: Explainable Artificial Intelligence Approach

Investigating Protective and Risk Factors and Predictive Insights for Aboriginal Perinatal Mental Health: Explainable Artificial Intelligence Approach

Perinatal depression and anxiety (PNDA) negatively impact the health and well-being of mothers and babies, and disrupt maternal /infant bonding [1]. Recent studies highlighted the significant association between PNDA and adverse outcomes, including suicidal behaviors and self-harm thoughts during and after pregnancy. Roddy Mitchell et al [2] emphasized the increased risk of preterm birth, stillbirth, and suicide associated with PNDA.

Effects of Using a Smart Bassinet on the Mental Health of Military-Affiliated Pregnant Women: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Sleep Health and Mood in Newly Expectant Military Mothers (SHINE) Trial

Infant sleep problems further contribute to significant maternal sleep issues [30-32] and maternal mental health consequences, regardless of the mothers’ depression history [32-34]. Mothers who report poor infant sleep behavior have significantly more depressive symptoms than mothers who report good infant sleep [35-37]. There is some evidence that maternal sleep quality is a mediator of this relationship [35].

Supplementing Consent for a Prospective Longitudinal Cohort Study of Infants With Antenatal Opioid Exposure: Development and Assessment of a Digital Tool

The first infant was enrolled into the OBOE study in August 2020, and the OBOE study began developing the consenter video a year later to assist with the slower-than-anticipated enrollment and to enhance participant diversity. The consenter tool is a patient-centered, interactive digital tool for informing prospective participants about clinical research studies and enhancing informed consent processes [21,22].

Designing the First Pregnancy Guaranteed Income Program in the United States: Qualitative Needs Assessment and Human-Centered Design to Develop the Abundant Birth Project

The Insight Center Family Needs calculator estimated the minimum income required to live in San Francisco in 2021 without public or private assistance as US $60,232 for a single adult, US $120,519 for a single adult with 1 preschooler, and US $167,432 for a household with 2 adults, 1 infant, and 1 preschooler [26]. To meet the needs of a family of three, Black and Pacific Islander households would have needed to earn 4 and 2 times their current average incomes, respectively.
