Pearson (r) correlation coefficient and Bland-Altman analysis were used to assess the mean bias and agreement between the devices and the reference standard. We adopted the widely accepted level of accuracy of 5% to be within the acceptable limits [16]. Student t test with the Satterthwaite approximation was performed to assess the difference in HR measured between Garmin devices when the activity mode was indicated and when it was not.
