Innovative, Technology-Driven, Digital Tools for Managing Pediatric Urinary Incontinence: Scoping Review

A formal critical appraisal or methodological quality assessment was not conducted as the aim of this scoping review was to identify and map the available evidence on innovative, technology-driven, digital tools rather than draw formal conclusions on their effectiveness.

Effectiveness of an Innovative Mobile-Based Perioperative Care Program for Women Undergoing Breast Cancer Surgery (iCareBreast): Randomized Controlled Trial

Effectiveness of an Innovative Mobile-Based Perioperative Care Program for Women Undergoing Breast Cancer Surgery (iCareBreast): Randomized Controlled Trial

However, early recruitment and data collection experiences indicated a higher-than-expected dropout rate. To accommodate this, an estimated total of 124 participants (62 per group) was deemed sufficient for the study. To ensure balanced allocation between the intervention and control groups, block randomization with a block size of four was performed using a web-based randomization tool.

Ayers et al [12] also demonstrated that responses from Chat GPT to patient questions were rated as more detailed and more empathetic than responses from physicians [12]. Hence, they can potentially improve efficiency and effectiveness in replying to patient complaints, thereby reducing time required and rechanneling resources to other aspects of the health care system.

N-of-1 Trials of Antimicrobial Stewardship Interventions to Optimize Antibiotic Prescribing for Upper Respiratory Tract Infection in Emergency Departments: Protocol for a Quasi-Experimental Study

N-of-1 Trials of Antimicrobial Stewardship Interventions to Optimize Antibiotic Prescribing for Upper Respiratory Tract Infection in Emergency Departments: Protocol for a Quasi-Experimental Study

Data extraction does not interfere with the standard care the patients receive and does not pose more than minimal risk to the participants. No compensation is provided to the participants and the data team does not collect more data than required. The results are expected to be achieved by January 2024. The data analysis and manuscript are expected to be completed by the end of 2024. The results will be presented at scientific meetings and published in international peer-reviewed journals.

First-Year Experience of Managing Urology Patients With Home Uroflowmetry: Descriptive Retrospective Analysis

First-Year Experience of Managing Urology Patients With Home Uroflowmetry: Descriptive Retrospective Analysis

Most patients in both the pediatric and adult groups had a Q-max lower than the minimum homeflow Q-max, with 24% (18/76) and 32% (16/50) of measurements being lower, respectively. For V-void, 33% (25/76) of pediatric patients’ and 44% (22/50) of adult patients’ hospiflow measurements fell outside the range of homeflow V-void measurements.

A Novel Mobile App for Personalized Dietary Advice Leveraging Persuasive Technology, Computer Vision, and Cloud Computing: Development and Usability Study

A Novel Mobile App for Personalized Dietary Advice Leveraging Persuasive Technology, Computer Vision, and Cloud Computing: Development and Usability Study

However, food recognition from food images is still unable to achieve optimal performance, particularly for mixed foods such as foods containing more than 1 ingredient [48,49]. Food recognition from food images requires fine-grained ingredient recognition. Directly recognizing ingredients is challenging, because ingredients from prepared food are mixed during food preparation. Furthermore, cutting and cooking food may change the surface color, shape, and texture of food.

Thus, m SEPT9 has a far better sensitivity than AFP. However, in order to prove its applicability over the screening population, we require validation in a larger cohort of HCC cases against a control group of patients with cirrhosis (which is the major screening group in clinical practice). Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are endogenous and exogenous compounds with a lower boiling point and high vapor pressure.

mHealth App to Facilitate Remote Care for Patients With COVID-19: Rapid Development of the DrCovid+ App

mHealth App to Facilitate Remote Care for Patients With COVID-19: Rapid Development of the DrCovid+ App

Declared by the World Health Organization as a pandemic, COVID-19 has both high transmissibility and case fatality rates with more than 250 million reported cases and 5.1 million deaths recorded globally [2]. This has severely burdened the existing health care system by posing additional health care demands; requiring the diversion of resources to diagnose, quarantine, and treat cases; disrupting medical supply chains; and causing a personnel crunch [3].
