Effects of Food Depictions in Entertainment Media on Children’s Unhealthy Food Preferences: Content Analysis Linked With Panel Data

We found that exposure to unhealthy food presentations and presentation centrality had a significant positive interaction effect with unhealthy food consumption (b=0.000; P=.03). The positive sign of the interaction suggests that the effects of unhealthy food presentation rose with increasing levels of centrality.
