While paper diaries have long been used for self-monitoring headaches [14], advances in technology have afforded widespread use of electronic diaries (e-diaries) [10,15-18]. E-diaries offer several advantages, including increased adherence, accuracy, acceptability, and efficiency [14,18-21]. Two recent systematic reviews identified 5 e-diaries used in research [22] and 38 in Canadian mobile app stores for i OS and Android platforms [23].
