Furthermore, Abroms et al [20] used SMS text messaging to connect patients in the emergency department to a smoking cessation SMS text messaging program or quitline counseling.
So far, no previous studies have evaluated the ability of electronic messages to signpost patients who are not seeking help to behavior change apps, disconnected from hospital visits.
