Assessing the Feasibility of a Text-Based Conversational Agent for Asthma Support: Protocol for a Mixed Methods Observational Study

Likewise, SDT can be used to predict the conditions for motivation to engage with a technology [14] as well as user satisfaction with that technology [14] (D Peters and R Calvo, unpublished data, 2023). As such, the conditions for need-supportive design of technology and health care environments from the SDT literature [15,16] will be incorporated into the design of the chatbot. Accordingly, we will include a set of SDT measures [14] in the postquestionnaire.

Co-Designing a Web-Based Decision Aid Tool for Employees Disclosure of Mental Health Conditions: A Participatory Study Design Using Employee and Organizational Preferences

The workshops followed the design of Peters et al [19], including individual, whole group, and small group participatory design activities with the main facilitator (ES). Participatory design was used as it involves users in the design process, focusing on user-centered orientation to draw out user perspectives, preferences, and ideas for the co-design of technologies. Participatory design is increasingly being used as a means of empowering end users by involving them in development [20,21].
