Furthermore, the research team postulated that a digital platform for MTSD may increase program appeal among teenager participants, given research suggesting that there has been a pronounced shift among US teenagers away from the use of legacy media (eg, books) and toward digital media [15]. To develop a web-adapted version of the MTSD program, the research team followed a step-by-step process guided by the Integrate, Design, Assess, and Share framework for developing effective digital interventions [16].
