In the intervention group, compliance was 78.9% (86/109) and in the control group 83.5% (91/109; P=.95). In men, overall compliance was 77.8% (28/36), with 78.9% (15/19) in the intervention group and 76.5% (13/17) in the control group (P=.59).

Of the total group of 1525 registered women, 603 (39.54%) reported to be pregnant at baseline, of which 416 (69.0%) completed the program and 187 (31.0%) prematurely resigned (P =.04).
