Structural Influences on Methamphetamine Use Among Black Sexual Minority Men (HISTORY Study): Protocol for a Longitudinal Cohort Study

Structural Influences on Methamphetamine Use Among Black Sexual Minority Men (HISTORY Study): Protocol for a Longitudinal Cohort Study

Black sexual minority men had historically lower rates of methamphetamine use compared to their White counterparts [4-9]; however, emerging data suggest a changing trend. A 2021 study demonstrated an overall increase in past-year methamphetamine use among Black sexual minority men in New York City from 6.5% in 2004 to 11.3% in 2017, with a concomitant overall decrease in use among White sexual minority men from 17% to 6.2% over the same time frame [5].

An Intervention for the Transition From Pediatric or Adolescent to Adult-Oriented HIV Care: Protocol for the Development and Pilot Implementation of iTransition

Due to the challenges of randomizing involvement in a clinic-wide intervention, we will compare our intervention group with a historical control group that will be completely recruited and enrolled before implementation of the i Transition intervention. We will recruit the historical control group (n=50) from both study sites (approximately 25 per site).
