Sexual health toolkits, counseling services, and a transport refund of USh 12,500 (approximately US $ 3.74) were provided to all participants who completed the survey. The MCAS’s embarrassment about negotiation and condom use subscale [17]—a 5-item scale that uses a Likert-type scale ranging from strongly disagree=1 to strongly agree=7; Cronbach α=.83—has been identified as the strongest predictor of condom use among all MCAS subscales.

An eHealth Intervention for Promoting COVID-19 Knowledge and Protective Behaviors and Reducing Pandemic Distress Among Sexual and Gender Minorities: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial (#SafeHandsSafeHearts)

We use a sequential quantitative-qualitative mixed methods design [74]. We will implement a 2-site, parallel waitlist-controlled randomized controlled trial (RCT) to test the efficacy of a 3-session, peer counselor–delivered e Health intervention to increase COVID-19 knowledge and protective behaviors, and decrease pandemic-related psychological distress. The immediate versus waitlist allocation ratio is 1:1.
