Identifying Inequities in Video and Audio Telehealth Services for Primary Care Encounters During COVID-19: Repeated Cross-Sectional, Observational Study

Identifying Inequities in Video and Audio Telehealth Services for Primary Care Encounters During COVID-19: Repeated Cross-Sectional, Observational Study

Comorbidity was meant to establish the likelihood of a patient requiring health care, and disability represented a potential barrier to accessing health care. All covariates were interacted with the time period of the encounter in order to assess the differences in the impact of the various patient characteristics across the 3 time periods. Secondary Analysis A secondary analysis was performed to evaluate the likelihood of an encounter being completed based on visit modality (phone, video, in-person).

Understanding the Feasibility, Acceptability, and Efficacy of a Clinical Pharmacist-led Mobile Approach (BPTrack) to Hypertension Management: Mixed Methods Pilot Study

Understanding the Feasibility, Acceptability, and Efficacy of a Clinical Pharmacist-led Mobile Approach (BPTrack) to Hypertension Management: Mixed Methods Pilot Study

We conducted a one-group design, pre-post pilot study of BPTrack, a clinical pharmacist-led m Health intervention, intending to improve blood pressure control in patients with uncontrolled hypertension through a 12-week pre-post intervention. All patients were recruited from a primary care setting where they received treatment from a clinical pharmacist at the recruiting clinic site for hypertension management.

Using Pharmacogenomic Testing in Primary Care: Protocol for a Pilot Randomized Controlled Study

Using Pharmacogenomic Testing in Primary Care: Protocol for a Pilot Randomized Controlled Study

Although antidepressants may be used to treat a variety of conditions, such as insomnia, neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, migraine, or menopausal symptoms, depression and anxiety are the most common reasons for using an antidepressant medication. In any given 12-month period, up to 20% of US adults visit their primary care physician for anxiety or a depressive episode [2]. More than half of these adults also have a second depressive or anxiety disorder.

Influence of Scribes on Patient-Physician Communication in Primary Care Encounters: Mixed Methods Study

Influence of Scribes on Patient-Physician Communication in Primary Care Encounters: Mixed Methods Study

We employed a convergent mixed methods design for this quasi-experimental pilot study. We also included a sample of patient encounters that were randomly assigned to a scribe (scribe present) or nonscribe (no scribe) group. To determine the effect of scribes, we collected patient surveys on perceptions of patient-provider communication and satisfaction with the encounter, video recordings of clinical encounters, and physician interviews focused on scribes.

The Effect of Technology-Mediated Diabetes Prevention Interventions on Weight: A Meta-Analysis

The Effect of Technology-Mediated Diabetes Prevention Interventions on Weight: A Meta-Analysis

Studies that included a core intervention phase, as well as a postcore maintenance phase, had data extracted and used for this analysis directly after the core phase was completed. This approach served to reduce heterogeneity between studies that did and did not include a maintenance phase. We assessed absolute weight change effect of technology-mediated interventions, and compared results between those interventions modeled on the DPP with those using a different curriculum.

Crowdsourcing and the Accuracy of Online Information Regarding Weight Gain in Pregnancy: A Descriptive Study

Crowdsourcing and the Accuracy of Online Information Regarding Weight Gain in Pregnancy: A Descriptive Study

Each query was entered into the Google search engine to yield a list of webpages on August 8, 2014. A website is defined as a set of webpages typically served from a single Web domain [22]. A Windows 8 Pro (64-bit) machine using the US English locale and running Google Chrome (v46) from Ann Arbor, Michigan, was used for all search results retrieval and processing. A new Google account was used with personalization not activated, so that search history did not influence the results.
