Parental Perspectives on Pediatric Surgical Recovery: Narrative Analysis of Free-Text Comments From a Postoperative Survey

Our findings confirm and expand on previous work on surgical patient experience conducted at our institution; in an 8-year analysis of narrative data captured as part of the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program-Pediatric, Robillard et al [9] reported high rates of satisfaction with the health care experience, but communication and timelines were identified as areas for improvement; they found that parents received adequate information to feel comfortable at the hospital,

Providing Accessible ReCreation Outdoors–User-Driven Research on Standards: Protocol for Mobile and Web-Based Interviews for Winter Assessments

Providing Accessible ReCreation Outdoors–User-Driven Research on Standards: Protocol for Mobile and Web-Based Interviews for Winter Assessments

The mobile interview will take approximately 2 hours along 3 predetermined routes of 500-1300–m length during both summer and winter. In Quebec, 2 of 3 parks will be evaluated through web-based interviews in winter (n=8 participants). One park, located in an urban location with nearby amenities, will be evaluated using the initial in-person mobile interview protocol format (n=4 participants), as participant safety can be assured.

Providing Accessible Recreation Outdoors—User-Driven Research on Standards (PARCOURS): Protocol for a Multiphase Study

The mobile interview will take approximately 2 hours along 3 predetermined routes of 500-1300 m in length [26]. Participants will be encouraged to take breaks as needed. Before starting a route, participants will be given a map of the intended route to help orient them and asked what their expectations are for the route (eg, how far do they think the route is, how hard will it be, and do they think they will enjoy it?).
