Internet Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Women With Postnatal Depression: A Randomized Controlled Trial of MumMoodBooster

Internet Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Women With Postnatal Depression: A Randomized Controlled Trial of MumMoodBooster

A mixed-effects growth model (random intercept model with a linear trajectory) revealed a significant linear decrease in PHQ-9 values for all study participants (estimate=–0.23, SE 0.08, P=.01, partial r =–.22) and a differential trajectory between conditions, with Mum Mood Booster participants’ scores decreasing (improving) at a greater rate (estimate=–0.34, SE 0.12, P=.01, partial r=–.23). Longitudinal trajectories of Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) scores from baseline to 12 weeks.

MomMoodBooster Web-Based Intervention for Postpartum Depression: Feasibility Trial Results

MomMoodBooster Web-Based Intervention for Postpartum Depression: Feasibility Trial Results

To supplement tests of statistical significance, we computed partial point-biserial r as a measure of effect size in accordance with Rosenthal [109]. Partial point-biserial r was defined as √(t 2 / (t 2 + df)); small effect size=0.14, medium effect size=0.36, and large effect size=0.51 [110].

Use of Non-Assigned Smoking Cessation Programs Among Participants of a Web-Based Randomized Controlled Trial

Use of Non-Assigned Smoking Cessation Programs Among Participants of a Web-Based Randomized Controlled Trial

The use of pharmacotherapy and non-assigned treatments types showed a small but marginally significant correlation: r 1028 = .061, P = .05. Participant use of pharmacotherapy products: reported at the 3-month follow-up Each of six participant baseline characteristics (age, gender, marital status, education, rurality, cigarettes smoked/day) was tested using univariate logistic regression for its relation to any non-assigned treatment use.
