Comparing the Efficacy of a Mobile Phone-Based Blood Glucose Management System With Standard Clinic Care in Women With Gestational Diabetes: Randomized Controlled Trial

This trial received ethical approval from National Research Ethics Service Committee South Central-Berkshire B (reference number 13/SC/0176). Written informed consent was obtained for each participant. The trial was registered at Clinical Trials.gov (ref: NCT01916694). Screening for GDM was based on risk factors as per UK clinical guidelines [15] and GDM was defined using the International Association of Diabetes and Pregnancy Study Group [16] criteria.
