In a prospective study of factors that predicted bullying over a 4-month period, Espelage et al [50] found a significant association between impulsivity and bullying behavior among a sample of 214 6th grade students. In addition, bullying prevention efforts have increasingly focused on the importance of bystander intervention, with significant results [37,51].
SEL-based programs have reported positive results in terms of reducing bullying and other disruptive behaviors in middle school [34,52,53].
