Using Social Media as a Research Tool for a Bespoke Web-Based Platform for Stakeholders of Children With Congenital Anomalies: Development Study

Elliott et al [3] stated that a “gap exists around best practices in establishing, implementing, and evaluating” social media for research purposes. Therefore, the research team’s findings and experiences are reported here to provide practical advice and recommendations for those planning to use social media for health research activities. The initial step was to identify the platform on which to host the e-forum.
