The 6 MWT has demonstrated responsiveness to assess change in functional exercise capacity, and minimal clinically important differences for various populations, ranging from 19 to 49 m, have been established [8,9]. In addition, the ability to walk approximately 288 to 300 m in 6 minutes has been suggested as a threshold for functional independence and community ambulation [10,11].
