Sexting, Web-Based Risks, and Safety in Two Representative National Samples of Young Australians: Prevalence, Perspectives, and Predictors

Despite the number of individual studies looking at sexting and its correlates, in the Australian context, there is a distinct need for a comprehensive examination of the associations between different types of sexting—such as sending, receiving, two-way, and not sexting—and other factors including a young person’s sociodemographics, mental health and well-being, and other ICT risk behaviors such as cyberbullying.
