Using Web-Based Pin-Drop Maps to Capture Activity Spaces Among Young Adults Who Use Drugs in Rural Areas: Cross-Sectional Survey

We assessed the precision of pin-dropped locations in 2 ways: Using Google Maps, we manually assessed whether or not each pin-drop location was located within 100 m of a structure. Unpublished qualitative data from young adults who use opioids to get high and live in these counties suggested that, while they may use drugs or have sex outside at times, they greatly prefer to engage in these behaviors inside (eg, their home or their partner’s home).
