The Sleep Ninja app and the process employed in its design are described in detail by Werner-Seidler et al [42,43]. It is derived from CBT-I and functions as a fully automated smartphone app consisting of six sequential lessons (each taking 5-10 minutes to complete) delivering core CBT-I strategies: psychoeducation, stimulus control, sleep hygiene, and sleep-focused cognitive therapy.
