Both formats of ENHANCE, compared to a waitlist control group, increased well-being (d=0.30) and positive affect (d=0.46) and decreased stress (d=–0.55). Martin [33] tested an abridged version of ENHANCE (5 weeks instead of 12 weeks) using a pre-post design and found smaller effects on well-being (dz=0.37 vs to dz=0.67), suggesting that longer interventions may lead to larger effects [32,33].
