Experiences With a Multicomponent Digital Behavioral Pain Management Intervention for Adults With Sickle Cell Disease: Qualitative Analysis of the CaRISMA Trial

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Real-Time Pain Management Intervention for Sickle Cell via Mobile Applications (Ca RISMA) components including (A) chatbot interaction and (B) pain diary tracking. Patients were asked to track pain levels daily through a mobile web app, as illustrated in Figure 1. They received text reminders during 2-week assessment windows at the start of the study and at 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months.
