The search string used for retrieving posts on Twitter uses keywords associated with citizens’ activities that were constrained by lockdowns and similar measures implemented in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, as described in the study by Saito and Haruyama [16]. These keywords are shown in Multimedia Appendix 1. The use of these specific keywords enables a coherent overview of the citizens’ psychological landscape from a macro perspective.
