A Machine Learning–Based Prognostication Model Enhances Prediction of Early Hepatic Encephalopathy in Patients With Noncancer-Related Cirrhosis: Multicenter Longitudinal Cohort Study in Taiwan

A Machine Learning–Based Prognostication Model Enhances Prediction of Early Hepatic Encephalopathy in Patients With Noncancer-Related Cirrhosis: Multicenter Longitudinal Cohort Study in Taiwan

Other studies used neural networks to forecast 1-year mortality after variceal bleeding [30] or liver transplantation [31], emphasizing the trend toward long-term outcome modeling. These findings underscore ML’s expanding role in liver disease prediction. Our study contributes to this field by focusing on early HE prediction in noncancer-related cirrhosis using a transparent and interpretable XGBoost framework.

Optimizing Thyroid Nodule Management With Artificial Intelligence: Multicenter Retrospective Study on Reducing Unnecessary Fine Needle Aspirations

Optimizing Thyroid Nodule Management With Artificial Intelligence: Multicenter Retrospective Study on Reducing Unnecessary Fine Needle Aspirations

In the real world, fine needle aspiration (FNA) has long been the favored diagnostic method in the management of suspicious thyroid nodules [5]. Before that, different regions used various Thyroid Imaging, Reporting, and Data System guidelines to screen suspicious thyroid nodules that need to receive further FNA [6,7]. However, the decision process of the Thyroid Imaging, Reporting, and Data System results in a significant number of unnecessary FNAs performed for benign lesions [8].

Developing an Evaluation Index System for Service Capability of Internet Hospitals in China: Mixed Methods Study

Developing an Evaluation Index System for Service Capability of Internet Hospitals in China: Mixed Methods Study

As the number of internet hospitals continues to increase, ensuring their operational readiness and capacity to deliver high-quality care will be paramount to achieving long-term health outcomes and reducing inequalities in health care access. However, this study has some limitations. Reliance on expert opinions through the Delphi method, while robust in achieving consensus, may introduce subjective biases that could influence the selection and weighting of indicators.

Evaluating Tailored Learning Experiences in Emergency Residency Training Through a Comparative Analysis of Mobile-Based Programs Versus Paper- and Web-Based Approaches: Feasibility Cross-Sectional Questionnaire Study

Evaluating Tailored Learning Experiences in Emergency Residency Training Through a Comparative Analysis of Mobile-Based Programs Versus Paper- and Web-Based Approaches: Feasibility Cross-Sectional Questionnaire Study

The preference for mobile-based platforms in tailored training (P Overall, while mobile-based platforms show promise in improving feedback timeliness and training individualization in our pilot study, further research is needed to evaluate their long-term impact on competency development, clinical outcomes, and residency training culture.

Student Mental Health in UK Higher Education Institutions: Protocol for a Scoping Review of Trends, Gaps, and Research Directions

Student Mental Health in UK Higher Education Institutions: Protocol for a Scoping Review of Trends, Gaps, and Research Directions

These include stigma, fears around confidentiality, culturally insensitive services, long waiting times, and uncertainty about where and how to seek support [22,23]. These issues are further complicated by the devolved nature of health and education policy in the United Kingdom, which has resulted in marked variations in the organization, funding, and delivery of student mental health services across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Factors Influencing the Maintenance of Public Health Behaviors After an Epidemic: Cross-Sectional Study

Factors Influencing the Maintenance of Public Health Behaviors After an Epidemic: Cross-Sectional Study

Engaging in long-term health behaviors, such as regular physical activity and a healthy diet, can greatly reduce the risk of severe acute infectious diseases and chronic noncommunicable conditions, including coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and cancer [4,5]. Large-scale and sustained health behavior practices are vital as they help mitigate future pandemic risks and enhance preparedness [6].
