Additionally, the 3 provinces were among the 6 provinces in Canada with the lowest distribution of RNs per 100,000 population in 2021, whereby Ontario is at the bottom of the list with only 690, Alberta with 835, and Manitoba with 1037 RNs/100,000 population [44]. Similarly, the 3 provinces were among the top 5 provinces with the highest COVID-19–related mortality in 2021, with 10,206, 3263, and 1420 cumulative deaths for Ontario, Alberta, and Manitoba, respectively [45].
