If the participant enters data while not connected to a Wi-Fi network, the data will be temporarily stored on the participant’s mobile device and automatically transferred to the HIPAA-compliant server the next time the participant’s device is in an area with a Wi-Fi network. At the end of the 12-month study period, the research personnel will disable the app. The research team will notify the participant that the app is disabled and that it may be deleted from their phone.
