Developing a Novel Mobile App to Support HIV Testing and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis Uptake Among Men Who Have Sex With Men: Formative and Technical Pilot Study

Despite YSMM having among the highest annual sexually transmitted infection (STI) rate among any age group [4], STI testing rates are also low [5], with only a third of YSMM reporting STI testing in the last year [6]. Low perceived risk, lack of symptoms, limited knowledge of STIs, and lower access to health care providers have been identified as barriers to HIV and STI testing [7-9].

For nonstatic matching variables (eg, laboratory results), the last available result in the baseline period of 12 months before the BPA deployment date in the intervention centers will be used. The primary outcome will be progression in ADT use (as documented in the EMR) during the 12-month study period. For both intervention and control centers, a participant’s baseline ADT status will be ascertained in the 12-month period before deployment of the BPA intervention.

Novel Blended Learning on Artificial Intelligence for Medical Students: Qualitative Interview Study

Currently, the FDA database comprises 950 applications (as of the last FDA update on August 7, 2024), predominantly in radiology and the cardiovascular field [4]. Clinical AI systems have already demonstrated expert-level performance in radiology [5-7] and equaled the diagnostic performance of health care professionals in medical imaging [6]. Beyond radiology, there are numerous publications on the clinical application of AI [8-16] and large language models such as Chat GPT [17-19].
