Developing a Core Outcome Set for Pediatric and Adult Acute and Chronic Pain Extended Reality Trials: Delphi Consensus-Building Process

Developing a Core Outcome Set for Pediatric and Adult Acute and Chronic Pain Extended Reality Trials: Delphi Consensus-Building Process

VR transports the user to an alternative environment, whereas AR enhances an existing physical environment with additional virtual objects embedded in that real setting [11-14]. XR allows users to engage completely in immersive, gamified, and sensorial digital experiences.

Identifying Disinformation on the Extended Impacts of COVID-19: Methodological Investigation Using a Fuzzy Ranking Ensemble of Natural Language Processing Models

Identifying Disinformation on the Extended Impacts of COVID-19: Methodological Investigation Using a Fuzzy Ranking Ensemble of Natural Language Processing Models

The proposed method achieved an F1-score of 96.03%, which can significantly help classify misinformation in real time. The results also demonstrate the effectiveness of language models in distinguishing misinformation. The main contributions of this study are threefold.

Effects of Digital Sleep Interventions on Sleep Among College Students and Young Adults: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Effects of Digital Sleep Interventions on Sleep Among College Students and Young Adults: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

These include poor dietary habits, obesity [9], and an increased risk of mental health problems (eg, depression, suicidal behavior, and substance abuse) [10-13]. Furthermore, insufficient sleep adversely affects academic performance and may lead to a need for prolonged years of study [14]. Poor sleep in college students and young adults can also contribute to long-term sleep disturbances that may persist into adulthood [15].

Decoding Digital Discourse Through Multimodal Text and Image Machine Learning Models to Classify Sentiment and Detect Hate Speech in Race- and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual Community–Related Posts on Social Media: Quantitative Study

For multimodal models without LDA or SMOTE, when predicting negative sentiment, the CLIP model achieved the best performance with an accuracy of 0.86 and a macro–F1-score of 0.83. Visual BERT closely followed, with an accuracy of 0.84 and a macro–F1-score of 0.8 (Table 2). However, the intermediate fusion model performed the worst in this task, with an accuracy of 0.75 and a macro–F1-score of 0.69.

Effects of the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale and Modified Rankin Scale on Predictive Models of 30-Day Nonelective Readmission and Mortality After Ischemic Stroke: Cohort Study

Effects of the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale and Modified Rankin Scale on Predictive Models of 30-Day Nonelective Readmission and Mortality After Ischemic Stroke: Cohort Study

With an increasing aging population, it is estimated that nearly 4% of the US adult population would have had a stroke by 2030 [1]. It is all the more tragic that a substantial proportion of stroke survivors will be readmitted to the hospital: current 30-day all-cause readmission rates range from 6.5%‐24.3% and these rates increase to 30%‐62.2% within a year [2].

Trust and Privacy Concerns Among Cancer Survivors Who Did Not Visit a Research Website Offering Free Genetic Counseling Services for Families: Survey Study

Participants were compensated with US $10 as an incentive to complete the survey. The first item was prefaced by a statement saying that in the past few months, the GCR mailed the survivor a packet of information about a study called “Your Family Connects.” The statement explained that the packet included a US $5 bill and several pages of information about how recipients and their family could access an informational website about inherited risk for ovarian cancer.

Online Health Information–Seeking Behaviors Among the Chongqing Population: Cross-Sectional Questionnaire Study

Online Health Information–Seeking Behaviors Among the Chongqing Population: Cross-Sectional Questionnaire Study

This metropolis is an ideal context for understanding situation of OHIS in western China. The study objectives were to (1) determine the prevalence, common topics, and methods of OHIS in the Chongqing population and (2) identify the factors that influence the OHIS behaviors of this population. This research may help improve ways of promoting efficient and appropriate OHIS for users and harnessing the benefits of the internet as a source of health information.

Effect of Immersive Virtual Reality Teamwork Training on Safety Behaviors During Surgical Cases: Nonrandomized Intervention Versus Controlled Pilot Study

In VR, the audience becomes an integral part of the story rather than merely an onlooker. The advantages of immersive VR primarily include: (1) viewers are placed within a 360-degree environment, where each movement of the head unveils new dimensions of the scene.

The rs243865 Polymorphism in Matrix Metalloproteinase-2 and its Association With Target Organ Damage in Patients With Resistant Hypertension: Cross-Sectional Study

The rs243865 Polymorphism in Matrix Metalloproteinase-2 and its Association With Target Organ Damage in Patients With Resistant Hypertension: Cross-Sectional Study

Renal damage was defined as an albumin-to-creatinine ratio of: normal to mildly increased (300 mg/g). Patients with a history of CKD stage 4 or 5, or renal failure (estimated glomerular filtration rate Vascular stiffness was assessed using pulse wave velocity (PWV), defined as the speed at which arterial pressure waves move along the vessel wall, with a PWV >10 m/s being indicative of vascular damage via the BOSO ABI-100 system.
