Ideally, there should be around 327 data points per hour (60 min ÷ 11 min per cycle × 60 s). Figure S2 in Multimedia Appendix 1 illustrates the data distribution for Participant M01 over 26 weeks. In the case of M01, the participant with a relatively high volume of GPS data can collect as many as 300 data points per hour.

While recommendations for adults suggest leaving the bed after 15-20 minutes of being awake [43], we modified the protocol to allow up to 30 min before instructing the participants to leave the bed. This adjustment aimed to provide a more flexible approach that was better suited to the needs of older individuals, ensuring that they could adapt to changes more comfortably while maintaining the principles of stimulus control therapy.
